Thurs Morn Speedies

After the rainbow brontodon incident. I'd like to go back into learning more production geared things. I'm keeping on with environments but those I can spend time with to polish from any of the speed paints. My "real" focus is characters as I haven't had a lot of experience with them and I'm lacking in that area so I'll start with life drawing then move to character design from there.

Tired Tinkering

Working tired is never good , but some times new lessons are learned I'm finally getting a some what handle on controlling paint daubs and lighting.....The fore ground is too fuzzy and would require detailing. Again, I can always come back and polish these suckers out like crazy but I'd rather sprint to the finish quality will catch up to speed in the future. My favourite part on this was when I flipped the image after 40 min and then realized I could copy the structure quickly adding detail.

Feelin Batty

Finally getting this character thing I was starting to feel batty...I got RJ to a point where I'm happy with him, however I may re iterate. Right now need to break and let the character lessons and thoughts sink in.

And some one got me feelin batty at 4am yesterday...

Coming into focus...

It's every little boys pipe dream to become a great concept artist! How ever , they soon realize that  the competition is a bachelors in arts and 4 years of schooling with financial support/backing.

 I think I'm just now beginning to see that drawing for a living is possible! With that comes new approaches and a new direction behind my art. My goal is to have fun and love everything I draw!

While I'm havin a beer and setting up my new fanart for firefall I thought id post some more oldies. This is some stuff i did in school didnt have time to come back to sat with it for 1 or 2 days then dropped it again i want to pick t up but other stuffs got some priority atm. What's the best thing about these is that I can hop back on them see where i got frustrated pick it up and pump out something in half the time it would have taken me a year ago or less. Mistakes are part of being an artist no matter what any one says . Eventually you figure things out. Practice. Lol I just hope who ever sees theses make the connection between my newer stuff and the fact that some of this is a year old. Neway off to draw firefall fanart once again ! :D

this one i may pickup after the brontobones fanart its a market based off something i saw in pax last year. 

this one again based off a booth seat at the Gordon Biersch restaurant in seattle. PArt of my avain race inspired by the joe madura concept.

Wondered what the construction in my home town would look like as a zombie fort which lead to this . was getting frustrated merely out of the fact that much that  drew here i had never draw before so it looked like poop but im sure if i picked it up now id kick its ass.
