Regular Posting time

Figuring out that a bad habit of mine is the " oh ill post it later" syndrome well not any more after i end a session everything goes up I need eyes on my work and critique of all sorts.

 for the above ^^^^  I wrote a little bit of what was going through my head : "and he stared up as the last free ship left, for the outer rims. News of the earth colony conflicts had dispersed and an unknown victor was returning to claim its rewards and establish rule. These were the last free families to leave the system in over 100 years."

This was a picture I took that i enjoyed just drawing a  line drawing overtop and manipulating some areas.

I streamed these and i think it was about 3 hours in total too long I think.

Bronty Head

Felt like doing a creature study , im feeling really good about creatures for rydans projects. Took me maybe 45ish or more. felt like less however. I'm still amazed how red 5 has managed to not make it look like a triceratops.

Finish roughs

Just waiting on some feed back for a day while I take a brain break form these guys.

I think its a big jump in quality of my characters , not a big jump in comparison to other artists, but a big jump for me seeing as I don't usually focus on characters. After a long break and meditation on my career. I know that I have to be flexible and quick to evolve in a studio environment.

 A few problems I see  are the knees and silhouette issues, but for gear and clothing variation I think I did alright. I really had to think about how the bottle would fit into a belt or strap, and how the individual would access them on a moments notice . As I focused on the belt, the gear at the back became less and less more prominent and thus I feel it lead to a better design. If not , then I will find out through turnarounds in the future and will have to rework it. I went back and re did all of these after my first attempts. I found I refined to quickly being to afraid of deadlines at the cost of practicality, I learned to kill my beauties for the sake of better functionality and excitement.

So another stepping stone , onward I say.

Happy Holidays I am once again reactivated from cryo and off ice. Moved into the new place and the focus is art and job applications so here's to a new year and new future! more art to come in the next bit!
